# Easy Probability Solved QuestionAptitude Discussion

 Q. Two brother $X$ and $Y$ appeared for an exam. Let $A$ be the event that $X$ is selected and $B$ is the event that $Y$ is selected. The probability of $A$ is $\dfrac{1}{7}$ and that of $B$ is $\dfrac{2}{9}$. Find the probability that both of them are selected.
 ✖ A. 1/63 ✖ B. 2/35 ✔ C. 2/63 ✖ D. 9/14

Solution:
Option(C) is correct

Given, $A$ be the event that $X$ is selected and $B$ is the event that $Y$ is selected.

$P(A)= \dfrac{1}{7}$, $P(B) = \dfrac{2}{9}$.

Let $C$ be the event that both are selected.

$P(C)= P(A)×P(B)$ as $A$ and $B$ are independent events:

$= (\dfrac{1}{7}) × (\dfrac{2}{9})$

= 2/63

I have 2 question.
Q1. bag contains:: 10=Blue balls, 20=Green balls, 30=Red balls, now a ball is drawn from the bag and put into the same bag, this process continuous for 3 times . what is the probability that no twe of the ball drawn have the same colour is?

Q2. what is the formula for determinant of A , and formula for A inverse? provide solution for below example to understand this concept!!
Eg: A group took a trip on a bus, at 3.20 per adult for a total of 3.50 per child and 135.20.
How many children, and how many adults?
kindly help through mail(slsaravanancse@gmail.com)...
