 Hide Ans

Solution:
Option(C) is correct

Aggregate marks obtained by Tarun:

$= \left[
\begin{array}{l l l l l l}
(65\% \text{ of } 150) &+& (35\% \text{ of } 130) &+& (50\% \text{ of } 120)+&\\ (77\% \text{ of } 100) &+& (80\% \text{ of } 60) &+& (80\% \text{ of } 40)& \end{array}
\right]$

$= [ 97.5 + 45.5 + 60 + 77 + 48 + 32 ]$

$= 360$

The maximum marks (of all the six subjects):

$= (150 + 130 + 120 + 100 + 60 + 40)$

$= 600$

Therefore Overall percentage of Tarun:

$=\dfrac{\text{Aggregate marks obtained by Tarun}}{\text{maximum marks (of all the six subjects)}}$

$=\dfrac{360}{600}× 100\%$

$= \textbf{60%}$
