**Solution:**

Option(**C**) is correct

Total readership of *X* is 8.7 lakhs.

∴ *X* + 2.5 + 0.5 + 1 = 8.7

∴ *X* = 4.7

Also, total readership of *Y* is 9.1 lakhs

∴ 2.5 + 0.5 + 1.5 + *Y* = 9.1

∴ *Y *= 4.6

Also, total readership of *Z* is 5.6 lakhs

∴ *Z* + 1 + 0.5 + 1.5 = 5.6

∴ *Z* = 2.6

Therefore,we have

∴ Number of people who read at least one paper = 4.7 + 4.6 + 2.6 + 1 + 1.5 + 0.5 + 2.5 = 17.4

Hence, **option C** is the correct choice.

I don't understand, Total population is given as 14 million, How come no. of people in solution comes as 17.4.

Though the solution procedure seems right, can someone explain this concept.
